| What is Launcher? |
|
Launcher is a web site maker (generator). It practically yields a full-working site on a single click.
It needs for you to organize content into folders (directories) and Launcher will integrate it all
into a site, providing for visual presentation, links, browsing mechanisms, frame geometries,
adorations and so on. Each of this provided services are fully customizable through friendly drag and drop,
internet-form-like tools or visual pickings. It's equally suitable for those who don't know anything about HTML
(as language for building sites) and don't want to, as for those who know quite a bit, but want to be spared
of boring programming. Launcher produces a self-contained site but can also be used to carry out a work
for a subsite to be integrated in some whole.

| Launcher's foundation logic |
|
Launcher puts images into center of site organization. It's default output is a gallery of pictures (with innumerable layouts and including automatic pruduce of thumbnailes).
However integrating other content is fairly easy, leading to other more complicated sites.
|
|
|
| How does it do that? |
|
Launcher reflects your content file/folder organization in the site it produces, transposes folders into site units, using names of
files and folders as actual information, and forming links to other content on a same-name different extension basis (meaning that,
example, html file or wav with the same name as image, will be automatically accessible through click on image itself). It also allows for
centralized entering of text information, particular to an image, through simple table of association with images.

Though you can use presets for automatic results, all of the features are fully customizable, through
Launcher's Visual Templates. Visual Templates are a centrilized panel to determine visual appearances
and other structural questions. A template practically stands as visual and organizational filter between file/folder organization
of content and its final appearance in the generated site.

 |
| Browser compatibility |
|
Launcher generates sites whose code is fully compatible and working with InternetExplorer and Netscape browsers.
Considerable effort is employed for the produced site to look the same in both browsers.
|
|
| System requirements |
- Launcher needs Windows98 installed on your computer
and InternetExplorer which is the part of Win98 (Launcher uses InternetExplorer for its work).
- Though it can work on any PC with Win98 installed, optimal configuration may be
Pentium II (Celeron 333Mhz) or higher with 32MB(better 64MB) or more, installed memory.
